Come back to California, Colum! We love you here! Sadly, I won't be able to return to Ireland anytime soon, but I hope to come back to your beautiful Rostrevor someday. The two times I was there for the festival were some of the loveliest days of my life. Your songs always give me a lift in these times. Thanks for your wonderful words and music.

Hi Colum, We've enjoyed listening to your show the last two weeks and, now that we've found you, I'd say we have a regular date from now on! Thanks so much for playing us on the show ... that was quite a thrill. What a lovely interview with Jim(my).I know you put him at ease with your very natural, easy style. Hopefully, we'll see you in the summer. Fond regards, Liz & John

Hi Colum, I just wanted to drop you a note to say hello, I have been enjoying your website this evening. You may remember sharing a stage with us, The Sam Maguires, in Iniskeen last year at the 'Gene Carroll Tribute Night'. We greatly appreciated your input that evening and it has to be said that your story telling later that evening was of equal substance - Many thanks - We hope to see you at one of your gigs in the coming year. We have finally got ourselves 'online'! - visit us at myspace.com/thesammaguires and please drop us a line if you get the chance. Best regards for 2008.

Thanks for coming and sharing your wisdom and good cheer at this season's Jacob's Ladder. I can't recall an audience here having as good a time or laughing quite as much as they did with your performance. I think that this is something folks will be taking along with them for a long time and that's a good thing. Again, thanks and Slache! Ross

Colum, Hello again! We met at the Llantrisant Folk Club in South Wales a month or two back.I am jogging your memory now, as you must meet so many people in your busy life. You made me and a female friend feel very welcome. I echo the words of another writer to this guestbook......as I too think you are such a wise ,clever man.I delighted in your songs. Some of your lyrics touched me profoundly. It was so good to find someone like-minded, you !, who has similar thoughts about Modern Life. I'm looking forward to buying your new CD, when it is released this year. I hope I catch up with you again sometime....ANNE

Dear Colum - many sincere thanks from my heart for your willingness to travel to Pt Fairy in Vic. The Folk Festival has been a wonderful opportunity to change gears and live a utopic life with a gathering of cherished friends - albeit only a few days - yet still great for the soul. You and your soul shared lyrically through universally poignant gentle stories and songs have been deeply inspirational. Thank you for the many blessed moments over the festival - thank you for the precious gift of hope and understanding. I sincerely hope that your tour to Australia with your daughter has also been a blessing for you both. Thank you deeply for your courage and strength and the sacrifices you make personally to share your unique gift across the globe.

Hi Colum, Caught your set at Nannup and had a blast. I'm an ex-pat Scot, "folk" involved there in the seventies, newly catching up on the craic. It was doubly pleasurable to me, being in a new relationship, hearing my lady say (after hearing your "in-between chat") 'now I know what you're on about'. Keep it up lad - there's converts to be made yet! BTW I could kill you for your "lighthouse" song. Orrabest, Broon.

Hi,Colum. I was just surfing the web and came across your website. It brought back some very nice memories from many, many years ago. I remember meeting you on Easter Sunday (I think it was in 1972) at a pub where you were playing with the Sands Family in NYC. I don't remember the name of the pub but it was uptown near Gaelic Park. We enjoyed the night so much that we went back to see you all a couple more times. I don't know if you remember but I lent you some of my songbooks. I have to admit that I hadn't heard about you in all these years and I'm very happy to see you're still going strong with your music. Too bad you don't to come to the USA very often, but if you ever get back over to NY, I'd love to see you perform! I'll keep an eye on your touring schedule just in case. All the best! Eileen

We loved you in Canberra last year! Do you mean to tell me that you are coming over this year but aren't going to be at the National, and apparently aren't performing anywhere in Victoria apart from Port Fairy?? I've decided not to go there this year, as it is is so huge and crowded and there is no accommodation to be had apart from camping, so this is terrible news - guess I may just have to organise a special trip to see you in Sydney, but if you are going to be appearing in Melbourne, that would be wonderful to know.

I really enjoyed hearing you in Canberra this year. Later, after checking out your website I chose, (kind ofrandomly) a CD to be picked up by friends when they werein Ireland... they were unsucessful. Now I'm not surewhich one it was. Did you have a live CD with your familywhich was previously available, or was I dreaming? Ifyes, is it still available? (other obliging friends arein Ireland, prepared to try again!)PS saw you at a few different performances over the folkfestival, & thought your ability to capture each (quitedifferent) audience was amazing.
